To carry out our mandates, we mobilize tools and methods such as:

  • Relevance analysis and matrix: mapping and analysis of stakeholders and the relative importance of the organization’s issues. Allows us to identify the priority issues for the organization and its stakeholders.
  • Logic model: tool used in the design of a theory of change.
  • Impact Gaps Canvas: A tool for mapping a specific problem, existing solutions, and the gaps between the two. Allows for a deeper understanding of an issue.
  • Results Matrix: a tool for planning, defining impact indicators and the mechanisms needed to measure them.

DEVELOPING AN IMPACT STRATEGY

The IDEOS Hub is mandated to accompany an Espace pour la vie team in the development of an impact strategy for the organization.

The mandate in five phases:

  • Definition of a theory of change
  • Identification of major strategic projects and action plans for the deployment of the organization’s theory of change
  • Definition of impact indicators and the mechanisms needed to measure them
  • Evaluation of the impact according to the established indicators
  • Preparation of the impact report

RELEVANCE ANALYSIS AND CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY STRATEGY

Accompaniment project to equip the TV5 Québec Canada team to work on the organization’s social responsibility strategy. The mandate is divided into two phases.

Training and knowledge transfer: a) Corporate social responsibility; b) Impact strategy. Relevance analysis: a) The materiality matrix; b) Impact measurement indicators and impact objectives.

CREATION OF A SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT POLICY

Mandate for the City of Sainte-Catherine whose objective was the creation of their sustainable development policy.

The methodology used in the realization of this mandate was based on the relevance analysis and the strategic tool “materiality matrix” in order to consult the main stakeholders concerned by the project such as citizens and elected officials.

The goal of this consultation process was to create the first sustainable development policy for the City of Sainte-Catherine based on the subjects deemed to be priorities by, among others, citizens and elected officials.

The mandate in four key steps

  1. Relevance analysis: public consultation of stakeholders
  2. Identification of priority issues to be included in the sustainable development policy
  3. Co-construction of the sustainable development policy with municipal representatives
  4. Definition of indicators to evaluate the impact of the policy

SUPPORTING MONTREAL ORGANIZATIONS IN THE INCLUSION OF IMMIGRANTS IN THE WORKPLACE

The Pacte pour l’inclusion au travail des personnes immigrantes (Pact for the inclusion of immigrants in the workplace) is a project aimed at offering personalized support to Montreal organizations in order to promote the integration of immigrants within these companies (details).

IDEOS Hub has partnered with the Bureau d’intégration des nouveaux arrivants à Montréal (BINAM) for this project, which is part of the City of Montreal’s Inclusive Montreal strategy. The four aspects of the integration process addressed by Le Pacte are: 1) Talent attraction; 2) The hiring process; 3) Integration in the workplace; 4) Career development of immigrants and talent development.

IDEOS was mandated to coordinate the project and bring its knowledge of management practices that maximize social impact.

Main steps of the project:

  • Co-design workshops
  • Coaching and micro-experimentations
  • Development of an action plan for the professional integration of immigrants
  • Sharing workshops and commitments
