The Management of Women Expatriate Workers in International Humanitarian Organizations

Ivy Abat holds a M.Sc. in Management and International Business, having completed her thesis under the supervision of Mai Thai and Ekaterina Turkina. Ms. Abat received an Ideos Scholarship in 2016 and published her research paper on the EISF website, an independent network of centres coordinating security that represents NGOs based in Europe and operating internationally.

Her paper examines the difference between human resource management in the context of multinational corporations and international humanitarian organizations. It seeks to identify the strategies that NGOs need to implement in order to prepare and protect international female staff working in the field.
